This website and our Facebook page are designed to allow you to get involved at a level that works for you.
What Others Are Saying
“The health of our downtown is a direct reflection on how our community sees itself. Downtown Mukwonago is important because it serves as a center for many community activities, it’s home to our community’s most historic buildings and it is truly a unique place with unique opportunities – no other downtown in the world is exactly like ours. Through this planning process it’s my goal to facilitate communication between the group and community stakeholders and to provide technical assistance and guidance to the group because in my professional career I have coordinated multiple downtown planning efforts. I believe we’ll come up with an approach to capitalize and showcase Mukwonago’s local character, volunteer involvement and downtown amenities.”
“We support Village of Mukwonago Village Board efforts to create a Downtown Mukwonago Strategic Plan Steering Committee. Similar to successful schools, a vital downtown can attract visitors, businesses, and families to the Village. Residents, business leaders, and elected officials working together can keep us on the current path of smart growth and ensure Mukwonago remains a place where life, leisure, and business thrive.”
“Preserving Mukwonago’s rich cultural history, small-town atmosphere, and numerous social events while preparing for targeted reinvestment opportunities is the cornerstone of ensuring our Downtown stays vibrant, attractive, and walkable. I look forward to the committee’s efforts to further implement the goals of the Comprehensive Plan through an inclusive and collaborative partnership between the Downtown Steering Committee, residents, business owners, and the Village Elected Officials and staff. I personally welcome anyone who wants to engage in helping to develop a Strategic Plan for the Downtown.”
